Meet Your Maker

Looking at art in a gallery or museum is always good, of course.  But looking at art in the environment in which it was made is so much better.  And looking at art with the artist right there to tell you what he or she is up to—that is the best.  This Saturday and Sunday thirteen Columbia County artists invite you into their studios to share their thoughts on their work with you.  For tickets, maps, directions and details, please click on the link below.

Artscape Studio Tour, $25 per person (less 10% for members of the Columbia County Council on the Arts).

Historic Hudson Gets Wired

Rural Intelligence Arts
Plugged In, a playful and sprawling exhibition that stretches from one end of mile-long Warren Street to the other, will highlight new media works, including sound, performance, digital, video, and interactive art.  The show, pieces of which turn up everywhere from storefront windows, to the sides of historic buildings, to the street itself, debuts on Saturday, May 17, from 6 - 10 in the evening, and continues through May 31.

Gala opening reception, PARC Foundation, 330 & 336 Warren Street; from 6 on; admission $5
