“Lucid Food” Signing and Tasting

Saturday, July 24 @ noon - 3 p.m.
Rural Intelligence Arts
Pine Cone Hill will host a tasting and book signing with chef Louisa Shafia, author of Lucid Food: Cooking for an Eco-Conscious Life.  The book, which was a finalist for the prestigious International Association of Culinary Professionals award for Best Cookbook of the Year in the “Health and Diet” category, was also recognized as one of the best “green” cookbooks by Saveur, The Washington Post, and Organic Spa magazine. In addition to talking to readers and signing copies of her book, which, in addition to recipes, has lots of smart, friendly advice on sustainable cooking, food shopping, and entertaining, the author will serve up samples of her “famous” watermelon gazpacho.
