Amernet String Quartet at Williams
Friday, November 19 @ 8 p.m.
While the snow birds are migrating South for the winter, those of us who tough it out are rewarded with a visit from the Amernet String Quartet, who are taking a break from their temperate residency at Florida International University to bring a bit of sunshine to the Great White North. Their free program includes Hayden’s Quartet in F-Major, op. 77, no. 2, 6 Preludes, op. 34 by Shostakovich, arranged by Yuri Vitenson, the father of Amernet violinist Misha Vitenson, and Dvorak’s Quartet in A-flat Major, op. 105. The public is also invited to join the Amernet Quartet on Thursday, November 18 for a Composition Reading of work by young composers at 1:20 p.m. and a Chamber Music Master Class at 4:30 p.m.
