Cabaret singer Adrienne Haan at Kaatsbaan

German chanteuse Adrienne Haan knew she was destined for the stage by the time she was in kindergarten. She studied theater in New York and did her time in touring productions of popular musicals (Les Mis, Cats, Evita...) but perhaps her turn as Sally Bowles in Cabaret hit home. She returned to Germany in 2007 to pursue a multifaceted performing career; her most recent CD is called I am a Vamp (songs from the 20s and 30s), and from her publicity photo she sure looks the part. Having created two previous solo shows, she is known for her historically accurate and deeply emotional renditions of songs in English, German, Yiddish, and French, which comprise her latest cabaret evening, Berlin Mon Amour.
