ClaverackLanding with Joshua Rifkin at Club Helsinki Hudson

In advance of his appearance at Le Poisson Rouge in NYC, world-renowned conductor, musicologist, and pianist Joshua Rifkin performs as part of Columbia Festival Orchestra’s ongoing series of classical music concerts in a night club setting, ClaverackLanding. The tradition-defying pianist will play an eclectic mix of rags, tangos, preludes, and fugues, contrasting the music of J.S Bach with ragtime master Scott Joplin and Brazilian tango composer Ernesto Nazareth, both of whose work Rifkin has revived and popularized.
