Henry Wolfe at Helsinki Hudson

Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter Henry Wolfe performed at Helsinki in Great Barrington last summer; it’s no surprise that he’s back in the club’s new Hudson digs, as he has significant local roots, which you can figure out when you learn that his name at birth was Henry Wolfe Gummer. His music ranges from jazzy and tangy to funky and soulful; it will remind you of something you’ve heard in decades past, though it is entirely his own sound. His first full-length recording is scheduled to be released in early 2011; come and hear a preview. Brooklyn-based Caveman opens.
