Red Baraat at MASS MoCA

MASS MoCA caps its free admission day with a Bhangra Funk Dance Party that will blow your winter blues away, and perhaps help you burn off some of your excess holiday calories. Red Baraat is a musical multiculti mash-up, a nine-piece cacophonous collective that mixes the percussion-driven music of Bollywood movie extravaganzas with a blistering brass section, including a sousaphone. This spicy show is sure to warm you up after this week’s crystalline cold snap; let’s hope the heat generated on the dance floor precipitates the long-overdue winter thaw.
