Founded in their homeland as The Beat, the two-tone ska revival band known across the pond as The English Beat infused their infectious, bouncy hits, such as I Confess and Save it for Later, with an heartfelt earnestness largely lacking from their chosen genre—and you can dance to it! Founding member Dave Wakeling, who also fronted General Public, leads this iteration of the band, which is offering half-price tickets to the jobless; just show up with ID and the stub from your unemployment check to take advantage of this offer.
