If the cold weather is already getting to you, you’ll welcome the heat wave that is Yunior Terry y Son de Altura. Born into one of Cuba’s foremost musical families, Terry’s formal musical education began at age seven. He was graduated from Havana’s prestigious National School of Art and emigrated to attend the California Institute of Art, Since then he has become one of the most sought-after bass players in New York City. He returns to Helsinki, this time with his ten-piece ensemble, blending Rumba, Son, Cha-cha-cha, Timba, and Latin jazz. If the music doesn’t heat you up, the dancing certainly will.
