“Cuckoo’s Nest” at Center at Rhinebeck
October 1 - 17

“Do you find the quips, pranks and wiles of the inmates at a mental hospital amusing? If you do, you should have a merry old time at One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” announced The New York Times when the play based on Ken Kesey’s novel opened on Broadway in 1963 with a cast featuring Kirk Douglas and Gene Wilder. It later became an Academy Award winning movie with Jack Nicholson, but it is ultimately Dale Wasserman’s theater piece, which should be in good hands under Andy Weintraub’s direction and featuring Center veterans Thomas Vernier and Jeff DeRocker.
