Berkshire Theatre Festival announced this week that it finally cast the title role for George Bernard Shaw’s Candida, which will kick off BTF’s 80th season. Jayne Atkinson, who plays Karen Hayes on the TV show 24 and has been nominated twice for Tony Awards (for Enchanted April and The Rainmaker) will star opposite her real life husband, Michael Gill. Candida opens in Stockbridge on June 17.
