Dan’s Diary: Original Art for $25

Rural Intelligence BlogsThe Storefront Artist Project wants to make original art affordable to all with its 12 x12 on 12/12 Benefit Art Raffle.  Local artists have each donated a work that is 12 x 12 inches, and if you buy a $25 ticket you are guaranteed to go home with a new piece of art. The event will take place on Friday, December 12, at 124 Fenn Street in Pittsfield, from 7 - 9 PM. Tickets can be purchased at the exhibition, or the night of the raffle. Tickets sales are limited to the number of art works available. All proceeds go to funding the Storefront’s Mentor Program in which high school students work one on one with a professional artist. Over the course of a semester they work together on a project in the studio of the artist. This coming January the Storefront will hold an exhibition of work produced during the 2008 program.
