Dan’s Diary: Synchronicity in Salisbury
Two of the subjects of recent stories in Rural Intelligence—the jazz singer Wanda Houston and the food pantry OWL’s Kitchen—are collaborating on a benefit for OWL’s Kitchen at Salisbury’s White Hart Inn from 5:30 - 7 PM on Sunday, December 21: “Wanda Houston and Friends Present An Old Fashioned Christmas: Stories, History, Songs, and Music of Christmas Past, Present and Future.” Houston, Tom Hanford, Nick Jacobs, Nancy Finlay, Kath Bloom, and David Paton will perform excerpts from their Christmas play, Wassail! Wassail! All Over The Town. Then Wanda will sing with the Scott Heth Trio, and Michael Brown and The Four Housatonics Barber Shop Quartet will also perform. $20 for adults $10 for children under 12.
