Dan’s Diary: The Mount Is Alive in Winter
As The Mount continues its quest for financial stability, it is also determined to become a year-round cultural force in the Berkshires. On Saturday, January 24, at 4:30 PM, the Mount will present the first reading of an adaptation for film of Wharton’s Summer by Carl Sprague, the Stockbridge-based, internationally known production designer. The reading will be held in the Mount’s drawing room, and the actors will include two mainstays of the Berkshire Theatre Festival, Eric Hill and Kate Maguire. Tickets are $16. Reservations are essential: 413.551.5111.
