The 2010 U.S. Census Needs You

Rural Intelligence IssuesThe United States Constitution mandates that the entire population be counted every ten years.  To get an accurate and successful Census in 2010, the Census Bureau is currently recruiting scores of temporary workers in every county.  Census information is used in part to determine your community’s representation in government and to help direct federal funds to local programs and projects, such as roads, bridges, and other community needs. So, it is important to make sure that your community is accurately accounted for. The Census Bureau is counting on us to help get the job done, hiring for a wide range of positions, including supervisors and door-to-door census takers.  To get a Census Bureau job an applicant must first successfully complete a 30-minute test. A number of testing sites have been set throughout the region; tests and interviews are by appointment only.
