Chinese Classes for Young Children in Ghent
Saturdays, November 6 through December 18 @ 9 - 10:30 a.m.
Open Meadow Schoolhouse is offering a unique opportunity for babies and children under 4 and their caregivers to experience Chinese culture. The music of Mandarin language and the flavors of Eastern culture will be celebrated through song, imaginary play, crafts, folktales, puppet shows, cooking, and traditional Chinese festivals. Simple Mandarin words and phrases will be introduced as well.
The six-week program is set in a peaceful Waldorf-inspired classroom, and will focus on relaxed learning through simple repetition and playful imitation. Each week the class will close with the ritual of drinking Chinese tea and sharing warm organic fare. Pre-registration is required.
