Hudson Chili Contest Not Just About the Food

October 9 @ noon - 4 p.m.
Rural Intelligence KidsEven if your kids aren’t chili fans, the Hudson Valley Chili Contest offers plenty of other activities at the beautiful Hudson Riverfront Park. While local chefs compete for the “top chili” title, there will be music from rock band Thunder Ridge and professional entertainer David Freedman will be making “flip cards” for the crowd. The cards are created by juxtaposing two photographs of a subject - by merely turning the card slightly, a different view appears.

And if your kids enjoy playing King of the Mountain, they can try King of the Kubota. Sponsor Columbia Tractor is bringing a giant RV to the waterfront so that kids can climb in it, on it, over it and under it. Youngsters can spend time with “Silly Sandra” indulging in some energetic face painting, too.

Hudson Valley Chili Contest
Admission $5; under age 5 free
