Juggling and Circkus Arts Classes in Chatham, Hudson
Cirkus Arts in Chatham, Wednesdays, January 19 - May 25
Hudson Juggling Club, Mondays, now to June 20 @ 6-9 p.m.

Bindlestiff Family Circkus, which performs a variety of vaudeville-style circus shows around the area, also offers classes in the “circkus arts” for kids and adults. The Cirkus Arts session for kids ages 8 to 13 will be held at the Morris Memorial in Chatham, NY. The spring session runs 16 weeks. Pre-registration required; register by January 14 and get a free class.
Juggling and other arts from the circus tent are an active, non-competitive way for kids to engage the physical realm of movement with the creative impulse. Participants will learn juggling and prop manipulation, along with cool stunts like stilt walking and tightwire walking. A public show on May 25 will showcase participants’ new skills in Chatham’s own Mini-Cirkus. Session A, for beginners ages 7-10, runs 3-4 p.m. Session B, intermediate/advanced ages 10- up, runs from 4-5:30 p.m.
Down the road about 20 minutes in Hudson, NY, Bindlestiff will host a Juggling Club. The club meets Monday nights in the John L. Edwards Elementary School basement level gymnasium. This is not a juggling class or workshop, but an informal practice session for all ages. Youth under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Some equipment will be available to share. There will be no meetings when school is not in session.
