Live Owls at Movie Opening in Torrington
September 25 @ 2:30 - 3:30 p.m.
The Cinerom Digital Movieplex in Torrington, CT, is not only showing the new Warner Brothers animated film Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole at the theater starting this weekend - they are hosting a special children’s event on Saturday featuring live owls. Audubon Sharon will help celebrate the premiere with a presentation about owls, and environmental education Intern Katrina Venhuizen will bring along the society’s owls. Each attendee will be given an activity book and poster depicting the characters in the film.
The owl presentation is free, with the option of attending a matinee performance of the movie prior to or following the hourlong event.
