Maple Syrup Tapping Time at Hilltop Orchards

March 26, 27 @ 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Rural Intelligence Kids
Maple syrup tapping time is here and the folks at Hilltop Orchards are celebrating by welcoming the public to come see how it’s done during their third annual Maple Syrup Weekend. Starting at 11 a.m., you can sit by their fireplace with some hot cider, hot cocoa and a fresh cider donut. Sap collecting demonstrations are “on tap” for noon and 3 p.m.

From noon to 4 p.m. you can watch how they take the sticky sweet secretions from the maple trees and then craft syrup and candy confections using the 100 percent pure liquid. There are also wine tastings for the adults at this orchard/winery straddling the New York and Massachusetts border.
