Mass MoCA Opens Second Colorforms Exhibit

Now through September 5
Rural Intelligence Kids
This weekend, Kidspace at Mass MoCA launches the second of a two-part exhibition project, Colorforms, which focuses on how color affects our lives. Color Forms II: The Basic Utensils, Featuring Soyeon Cho and Lisa Hoke will juxtapose the primary and secondary color elements in the sculptural works of Lisa Hoke with the neutral color elements in Soyeon Cho’s work. Hoke’s hallmark is making complex and colorful installations out of inexpensive everyday materials, primarily plastic food utensils, boxes, paper cups and plates, and cardboard containers. Cho uses found objects to create sculptures that often reference nature.
