Pittsfield Expo Celebrates the Art of Percussion
April 2 @ 7:30 p.m.
Get your beat on this weekend at the Pittsfield Drum and Percussion Expo. The event is an evening showcasing all types of percussion, from Cuban, Haitan and West African drumming to the drumline type to Native American healing beats and everything in between. On tap to take part are a long list of professional drummers, percussionists and drum ensembles from the Berkshires who will showcase their talents in five to 10 minute performances.
The event will be held in the Boland Theater in the Koussevitzky Arts Center at Berkshire Community College. Proceeds from the event fund free drum clinics for Pittsfield youth.
