Take a Wild Ride Down Clermont’s Rolling Hills

January 23 @ Noon - 3 p.m.
Rural Intelligence Kids
Once a year the historic site Clermont opens its grounds for sledding, and it looks like this year there should be plenty of snow - and cold to keep the white stuff around - for this winter’s Sledding Party. Bring your own flat-bottomed sled and Clermont will provide hot cocoa by a roaring fire. Not only will the event provide seasonal fun, sledders get to enjoy breathtaking views of the Hudson River and Catskill Mountains at the same time.

Additionally, the many trails through Clermont’s grounds are open daily from 8:30 to sunset for hiking, cross-country skiing, horse-back riding, and biking, weather conditions permitting. They recommend you call ahead to be sure conditions are good for any or all of these events. The Sledding Party would be cancelled in the event of severe cold as well as not enough snow. Contact Kjirsten Gustavson at 518.537.4240.
