Travel Back in Time at Lindenwald

September 18 @ 1 - 5 p.m.
Rural Intelligence Kids
What do goats, apples, border collies and dancing have in common? At first glance not much, but if you attend the eighth annual Harvest Day at Lindenwald you can find out. Harvest Day celebrates the importance of agriculture to our eighth President and to Columbia County today. Martin Van Buren was an enthusiastic farmer during the 21 years he resided at Lindenwald, now a National Historic Site.

Also discover first hand what an apiary is and how jungle fowl relate to chickens. Among this year’s events will be milking, butter making, tinsmithing, broom making, wool dying, sheep shearing, horse shoeing, live music, farm animals, story telling, and free horse drawn wagon rides.
