Vassar College Celebrates Children’s Art

March 20 to 26 @ 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Rural Intelligence Kids
Imagine being only 6 years old and seeing your artwork hanging on the wall at a real art gallery? Talk about encouragement! That’s exactly what Vassar College’s 26th annual John Iyoya Children’s Art Show hopes to do.

The exhibit’s namesake was a Vassar student known for his creativity and love of children, and the show’s purpose is to highlight young children’s interest in the visual arts and encourage artistic expression. The artwork of youngsters from 11 local nursery, elementary, and intermediate schools will be on display at the college’s James W. Palmer Gallery.
