Warm Up to Winter at Lindenwald

December 3 @ 5:30 - 8:30 p.m.
Rural Intelligence Kids
Get in the spirit of the winter season at Lindenwald as the historic home of President Van Buren celebrates with music and special tours of the mansion, beautifully adorned and lit for the season. A large campfire will burn brightly on the front lawn, welcoming all, and the interior of Lindenwald will be aglow with warm light and holiday greens arranged by the Kinderhook Garden Club.

Inside the mansion visitors will encounter costumed interpreters as well as improvisational historic vignettes. Anne Wasko will play music on the mansion’s historic “Jennie Jerome” piano. Visitors are encouraged to bring flashlights in order to walk safely from their vehicles.

Reservations for one of six “seatings” are required and must be made by phone at 518.758.9689. At a heated tent on the front lawn, guests can confirm their reservation and wait for their seating while enjoying refreshments and conversation.
