Williamstown Church Fair Offers Traditional Children’s Games

March 12 @ 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Rural Intelligence Kids
Two years ago, Williamstown’s First Congregational Church revived a long-running Children’s Fair that was eagerly anticipated by local families each year from 1969 to 1990. The Fair hearkens back to the simpler time when it began, with easy but fun games geared to tots ages 2 to 5.

The games cost only a quarter to play, and feature activities designed by the late James Skinner – the fish pond, the rubber-band-boat race, the penny-pockets lady (re-imagined as Mother Earth), and the putting green - which generations of children have been enjoying since the Fair’s inception. In addition to games, the church will offer a fortune teller, face-painting and other activities under this year’s theme “It’s Easy Being Green.”
