Friends of Clermont Shindig

Rural Intelligence Parties and Openings Saturday night the Friends of Clermont discovered how the west was won—with great chow (hot dogs, chili, corn bread) and wildly flattering duds.  The party, held on the grounds of Clermont, the lovely historic Hudson River home of Robert Livingston, was chaired by none other than Rural Intelligence’s Rural Restoration bloggers Hermes Mallea (far left) and Carey Maloney of M (Group).  (Theme: Gold Rush.  Decor: Checked cloths, zinnias in Ball jars, hay bales from which to take in the stunning sunset over the river.)  The cheery mood was heightened when Pat Falk won three!!! of the raffle prizes, the last of which, the Grand Prize of $2500 in gold, she promptly donated back to the cause. Here, here!!
