Pringle & Zimring is Now Open 24/7

One of our mantras is “Shop Local,” but sometimes it’s inconvenient or impossible.  Betsy Zimring of Pine Plains, who runs an interiors-and-gift-shop in Millerton, understands, so she has launched an online boutique, PringleandZimring.com, so her faithful customers can patronize her store wherever they are and whenever they want.  It’s hard to believe that the small boutique has spawned a well-organized website with so much merchandise, where you can browse by price, department, theme, brands and send expertly-wrapped gifts. “My daughter, Stacy, who designed the website, and I have the type of personalities that we can’t do anything halfway,” says Pringle, who works as an interior decorator during the week and spends weekends at the shop.Rural Intelligence Home and Garden “One of the reasons why we started the website was that we could not fit everything we like into the store.” And Betsy likes everything from preppy needlepoint pillows with black labs and pugs to antiqued brass lanterns to South African tribal-pattern hand-printed placemats and napkins (photo.) “We buy what we like with an eye to our clientele,” says Zimring. “There’s no look to our store. We are very eclectic. If it is not something I would buy for my own home it will not end up in our store or on our website.”
