On Friday, August 6, the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation celebrated the opening of its new office building at 800 N. Main Street in Sheffield, MA, with an open house attended by donors, advisors, fund holders and grantees from Berkshire, Columbia, northeast Dutchess and northwest Litchfield counties. “At Berkshire Taconic, we rarely host our own events, but rather support events that community groups host for funds under our stewardship,” said Jennifer Dowley, president of the foundation (far left with chairman of the board Virginia Stanton Smith), who noted that the conference rooms will be made available to other not-for-profit groups for meeting. “We felt this was an occasion that calls for us to gather together. We welcome you to our new home so that you are comfortable and familiar with your home base for doing good in the region and we celebrate your dedication to our community."
