Three locations in our region now screen the wildly popular Metropolitan Opera performances in High Definition. Now in its fifth year, this Peabody Award-winning series will present a record 12 live transmissions to theaters worldwide this opera season. Tickets go on sale as early as Friday, August 27th, but unless you are a member of the Metropolitan Opera Guild or one of the hosting venues, you will have to wait to buy yours—if there are any left.  In other words, if you don't want to miss the thrill of seeing live performances such as that of the bel canto sensation Juan Diego Florez (above) in the title role of Rossini's comedy, Le Comte Ory, now is the time to join one or the other of these worthy arts venues.
