Hugh Jackman Makes His Tanglewood Debut with the Boston Pops

Hugh Jackman performs with the Boston Pops under conductor Keith Lockhart at the Koussevitzky Music Shed on August 11, part of Tanglewood's 2026 Popular Artist Series and marking both his Tanglewood and Boston Pops debut.
The program spans the breadth of Jackman's career—music from "The Boy from Oz," "The Music Man," "The Greatest Showman," and "Les Misérables." Best known to blockbuster film audiences as Wolverine across two decades of X-Men films, Jackman has built an equally substantial career on stage and in movie musicals, earning a Grammy, an Emmy, two Tony Awards, and an Oscar nomination along the way. His 2022 Broadway revival of "The Music Man" and his star turn in "The Boy from Oz" remain touchstones of his stage work, while "The Greatest Showman" turned him into an unlikely pop-chart presence years after the film's release.
The concert lands in a Popular Artist Series lineup that's especially loaded this season, with Jackman joining Paul Simon, James Taylor, Brandi Carlile, John Fogerty, Steve Winwood, Ziggy Marley with Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, Weird Al Yankovic, Cynthia Erivo, Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, Carrie Underwood, and Tedeschi Trucks Band across the summer.
