May 1 | Great Barrington, MA | 11am

Berkshire Waldorf School opens its campus to the community on May 1 for its annual May Day celebration with fiddlers, flutes, a Maypole, and a genuine excuse to spend a Friday morning outside in the first real warmth of spring.

Fourth through eighth graders have been preparing since February, learning country dances with ribbons, bells, and wooden sticks. Fifth graders do the Maypole weaving. Local Morris dance teams will also perform. The school is inviting everyone to bring blankets, picnic baskets, hats, and sunscreen.

Informal campus tours will be available the same morning for anyone curious about the school.
