Rather than a tightly themed exhibition, "New In" functions as a seasonal pulse check on the gallery’s roster, presenting new directions and evolving approaches across painting and mixed media. The result is a varied survey of contemporary work that moves between abstraction, landscape, and material experimentation while reflecting the distinct visual languages each artist brings to the program.

Founded by gallerist Kenise Barnes, the Kent gallery has long championed artists working across the Northeast and beyond, and the show offers collectors and visitors an early look at the newest additions to their ongoing bodies of work.

The exhibition is on view at Kenise Barnes Fine Art, 7 Fulling Lane in Kent, from March 14 through April 26, 2026.
