Olana Summer Party Embraces Its Ongoing Construction
The Olana State Historic Site outside Hudson is stunningly beautiful even under construction. The site’s “House Environs Project” is underway and includes restoration of the landscape around the house to further reflect the way things looked when Hudson River School painter Frederic Church designed the layout, and new visitor amenities. So for Olana’s summer gala, on Saturday, July 21, supporters and staff embraced the ongoing work and threw a heck of a construction-themed party. Since the usual spot around the main house was being worked on, the party was moved to the edge of a bluff with a jaw-dropping view of the Hudson Valley. There was great food and drink provided by local vendors and a huge turnout by Olana’s loyal supporters.
