Winnakee Land Trust Honors Greg Quinn at the Milkweed and Monarchs Gala
On Saturday, June 22, around 300 people attended Winnakee Land Trust’s 2019 gala, dubbed “Milkweed and Monarchs,” which honored their friend and neighbor Greg Quinn with the Good Land Award. Held at Chiddingstone, a historic private estate overlooking the Hudson River in Germantown, New York, guests were treated to cocktails and hors d’oeuvres on the front lawn, followed by dinner and dancing in the back yard with the sun-dappled river in view. Views like these are part of what Winnakee aims to conserve for future generations. In its 30 years, the non-profit has protected more than 2,500 acres in its effort to save natural and agricultural resources and develop a system of trails to connect people to the cultural and scenic resources of Dutchess County and the greater Hudson Valley.
