Hetrick-Martin Institute Celebrates Fall at Horizon Hill

By Kathryn Matthews

Beneath a vibrant canopy of crimson, orange and gold, 130 guests gathered on September 25th for the 5th annual Hetrick-Martin Institute Fall Fest Cocktail at Horizon Hill, the 35-acre Dutchess County property of A/X Armani Exchange CEO Harlan Bratcher and his partner, Toby Usnik, Christie’s international head of corporate communications. The event, which included both a silent and live auction, raised $95,000 for the Hetrick-Martin Institute (HMI), home of Harvey Milk High School in Manhattan’s East Village, which offers a comprehensive array of social services (from substance abuse support and HIV prevention, to job -readiness training)  to over 1,500 at-risk LGBTQ—lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or questioning—youth on-site and an additional 2,500 throughout the tri-state Metropolitan area.
