Naumkeag knows how to throw a garden party. Every year, it puts on the most lavish affair in a setting that’s beyond compare. On Saturday, July 28, the Trustees of Reservations and garden party committee co-chairs Hilary Somers Deely and Celia deG. Kittredge brought supporters together to celebrate the gardens, history and splendor of one of the Berkshires’ icons. Barbara Erickson, president and CEO of the Trustees, praised the transformation of the gardens, which are now nationally recognized. Added Peter Coffin, chair of the Trustees, “Our properties nourish our souls and nourish our communities.” Especially when catered by MAX Ultimate Food, presented as beautifully as the scenery.
