Jamie Larson reports from Rhinebeck.Doris Cultraro, an outgoing stained glass artist from Rhinebeck, is quick to point out that artists don’t always make the best self-marketers (herself excluded perhaps). That’s why, six years ago, she co-founded Art Studio Views, a program that connects working artists in Dutchess County with patrons that might otherwise never see their work. The organization gives the public opportunities to visit artists in their studios, get an appreciation for their process, see their work and, hopefully buy something. On Thursday, August 15, Studio Views artists came together for its sixth annual showcase at Rhinebeck Bank on Montgomery Street to celebrate their success and growth. This was also a year for the organization to give back to its sponsors, surprising the bank with a painting as well as fellow longtime sponsor Ameriprise Financial with the a work pictured here by artist Tarryl Gabel. Presenting the gift are John Lavin and Doris Cultraro.
