Kenise Barnes Fine Art presents "Assemble (Cut, Burn, Stitch) with Care," a group exhibition that explores how materials hold memory and how artists transform what’s broken or discarded into something resonant. The show brings together the sculptural assemblages of Laura Petrovich-Cheney, the pit-fired ceramic and wood works of Tristan Fitch, and the stitched metal pieces of Carolyn Millstein—three artists who use acts of cutting, burning, and mending as metaphors for resilience and reconstruction.
Visitors can expect vibrant salvaged-wood compositions, smoky porcelain forms marked by fire and time, and luminous metal works folded and stitched like textiles.
