The butcher, the baker, the fishmonger, the caterer, and farmers galore turned out in force on Wednesday evening for Berkshire Grown's March Maple Dinner, held in the festive party room upstairs at Spice in Pittsfield.  Barrington Brewery and Pittsfield Brew Works kept everyone's thirst slaked as hors d'oeuvres were passed.  Then at 7 sharp the crowd sat down to a feast, the collaborative effort of five fabulous chefs--Brian Alberg, of The Red Lion Inn, Christopher Brooks of Blantyre, Peter Platt of The Old Inn on the Green , Steve Sherman of Marketplace of the Berkshires, and host chef, Douglas Luf of Spice.
