Jamie Larson reports from Chatham. It’s amazing to think that Saturday marked the 11th annual Columbia-Greene Humane Society Benefit hosted by the Blue Plate restaurant. Equally as amazing as the event, which raises thousands for the Humane Society each year through donations and a silent auction, was the gargantuan turnout. The event has become a can't-miss philanthropic to-do for the area, packing the Blue Plate from wall to wall and down into the bar/lounge with everyone from our region who appreciates the work the organization has done saving an untold number of animals great and small.
