Sunday, March 8 | Studio E, Linde Center for Music and Learning (Tanglewood), Lenox, MA | 3pm
Members of the Boston Symphony Orchestra bring a program of chamber music to Studio E at the Linde Center as part of the Tanglewood Learning Institute (TLI) series on Sunday, March 8 at 3pm. TLI’s chamber concerts offer audiences an up-close experience with musicians from one of the nation’s leading orchestras in an intimate recital setting.
The ensemble performing on March 8 features Christopher Elchico (clarinet), Josh Baker (bassoon), Rachel Childers (horn), Lisa Ji Eun Kim (violin), Mary Ferrillo (viola), Roric Cunningham (cello), and Carl Anderson (bass). Together they will perform two works that span the expressive range of chamber music: Carl Nielsen’s "Serenata in vano," and Ludwig van Beethoven’s "Septet in E-flat, Op. 20."
TLI Chamber Concerts are part of a broader initiative to bring small-ensemble classical music into closer conversation with local audiences, enabling listeners to hear familiar names and instruments in settings that emphasize detail, dialogue, and the conversational qualities of chamber repertoire.
Advance tickets are available through the Boston Symphony Orchestra’s box office and website; seating in Studio E is limited.
