Boy Harsher headlines Soundscape at Basilica Hudson on September 25, with Choir Boy and Evanora Unlimited opening. Basilica's bar and kitchen (run by Philmont's Local 111) are open before and during the show.

Boy Harsher is the duo of vocalist Jae Matthews and producer Augustus Muller, who met in Savannah, Georgia while both studying film—an interest in cinema that's shaped the project's visual identity ever since, from tailored graphic design to their own short horror film, The Runner, which they wrote, produced, and scored in 2022. They began as Teen Dreamz in 2013, with Matthews reading short stories she'd written over Muller's live scores, before the sound got more danceable and the project rebranded as Boy Harsher in early 2014. Their home-recorded debut EP, Lesser Man, became an underground hit almost immediately, and after relocating to Northampton, Massachusetts, they built out a catalog—Yr Body Is Nothing (2016), Careful (2019), which drew praise from Pitchfork and NPR Music. Their sound blends minimal synths, danceable beats, and Matthews's sensual, sometimes screamed vocals into music critics have described as gothic industrial by way of Beach House. This year brought their major-label debut, Get Mean.
