Dan Kitrosser Brings "Queer Window" to The Foundry in West Stockbridge

Dan Kitrosser plays Karen Tenderness—a woman who lives to belt an musical number out her window at 7pm—in "Queer Window," a solo musical thriller at The Foundry on August 8.

After one note too many shatters her living room window, Karen replaces it with a "queer window," and everything she sees through it becomes queerer, sexier, and more dramatic. Peering into her neighbors' lives, she uncovers secrets, sparks romances, and spins increasingly wild fantasies—until she sees something she really shouldn't have.

Kitrosser is an award-winning playwright, screenwriter, and performer whose credits include co-writing the screenplay for "We the Animals," which premiered at Sundance and won the Next: Innovator Award and Best Narrative at OutFest, along with five Independent Spirit Award and GLAAD Award nominations.

His plays have been staged internationally, including "Tar Baby," which received an Amnesty International Citation of Excellence, and "HOMOS! A Solo Disaster Musical," which won a Fringie Award at the 2023 Philadelphia Fringe Festival. He also hosts the iHeartRadio podcast "Svetlana! Svetlana!," ten episodes built around his obsession with Josef Stalin's daughter. Broad Street Review has described Karen Tenderness's bright personality as feeling like "a Zagar mosaic brought to life."
