This weekend, Lime Rock Park opens its grounds to a 40 year old casual car gathering centered around European car models. FCP Euro's Sunday Motoring Meet Sunday will put particular focus on Volvo and SAAB, with owners parking their cars right on track.
All makes and models are welcome beyond the features. The format is relaxed and free of charge, with no gate fee and no competition. Family-friendly, and rain or shine.
The series is hosted by FCP Euro, a Connecticut company with roots going back to 1986, when Harry and Kathy Bauer opened a small brick-and-mortar auto parts store in Groton. What began as a modest cars-and-coffee event of around 25 cars has grown to draw over 700 vehicles and the partnership with Lime Rock gives it a setting few regional meets can match.
