On Saturday, October 3, in Hillsdale, the Goliath Institute inaugurated its new gallery located behind Herrington's in a 19th century grain mill and depot, which was once the Hillsdale Mercantile Association. Goliath, which also has outposts in Nice and Jerusalem, is dedicated to the "blending of cultural inheritances and creation of exciting art environments." The opening exhibition, which was curated by John Hass, featured several artists, including Ben Tritt, a Brooklyn-born painter who has shown at the Salander O'Reilly Galleries in New York and who's taught at the Metropolitan Museum of Art as well as IS 183 Art School of the Berkshires.
