Dale Stewart reports from Washington Depot, Connecticut.Guests were shoehorned into the intimate two-room KMR Arts Gallery in Washington Depot on Friday, October 26, for a reception to celebrate the opening of Diane Arbus: Guggenheim Grants, 1963-1967. Patrons like authors Ann Leary and Candace Bushnell, pictured left, sipped white wine and overflowed onto the front porch to savor the crisp fall evening and discuss impending Hurricane Sandy. Likely one of the best private collections of Arbus’s revolutionary works, the exhibit included vintage prints such as "Identical Twins, Roselle, N.J. 1967," and several were from the groundbreaking 1967 New Documents show at the Museum of Modern Art. The exhibit, a coup for any space, is on view through December 29.
