Linda Mussmann, Joan of Arc, 2025
January 3–February 1, 2026
Time & Space Limited, 434 Columbia Street, Hudson, NY
Cofounder of Time & Space Limited in Hudson, artist, and cultural instigator Linda Mussmann presents "SHEBANG!," a new exhibition of paintings and text-based works created in 2025 that channel urgency, conviction, and the combustible energy of ideas in motion. Installed at TSL from January 3 through February 1, the show unfolds as both a visual and conceptual provocation—part diary, part manifesto, part emotional release.
The exhibition brings together bold canvases, painted bed sheets marked by fire and fury, and handwritten texts reproduced on fabric, blurring the line between image and language. Mussmann’s work has long occupied the space where art, politics, and lived experience collide, and "SHEBANG!" continues that inquiry with immediacy and clarity, inviting viewers to sit with questions of passion, belief, and expression rather than resolve them.
An opening reception takes place Saturday, January 3, from 5–7pm, featuring a screening of "ROOM/RAUM," a short film edited by Henry Munson based on Mussmann’s 1978 artbook, with voice performances and original music. As both an artist and a founding force behind Time & Space Limited, Mussmann’s presence here feels as much about Hudson’s creative lineage as it is about the present moment.
