On Sunday, October 13, guests spread out through downtown Great Barrington from Fiori to Castle Street Café for a champagne reception and pre-show dinner to honor Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center champion Louis J. Allegrone, pictured center left with his daughter Stacy and John Hoyt Stookey, who led his firm, the Allegrone Companies, in completing the decade-long historic restoration of the Mahaiwe Theater. Later, comedic legend Bill Cosby performed in the packed theater. Proceeds benefit the Mahaiwe’s world-class, year-round programming initiatives.
